The sweet and sour taste and refreshing heat is one of the two perfect refreshing ingredients for summer. And that’s what this basil and jalapeño pepper mojito is all about. The spiciness of the fresh and green jalapeno goes well with the basil here. Summary – we are talking about an explosion of flavors.
Fresh basil works well here. But if you can use lemon basil is fine too. There are flavors that go well with this cocktail. This lemon mojito recipe goes well with gin instead of rum. So feel free to experiment with what you use.
Here we used 2 jalapenos (maximum 1 per cocktail), which can be too spicy for some people. Use as much or as little as you like when pouring jalapeño into a glass. We do not mix other ingredients together so the heat is not as high as you would like.
