Chipotle peppers and chocolate make a great pair. Chipotle’s earthy, smoky tones go well with rich earthy chocolate. And what could be better than chocolate chip cookies to bring these two flavors together? The answer is, in Spinal Tap form…no, it doesn’t get any better. Chipotle Chocolate Chip Cookies tick all the boxes that satisfy savory lovers. It’s chocolate on chocolate too. (Cocoa powder is a dry mix.) So chocolate aficionados will be delighted.
There is a lot of chipotle powder in the cookie dough. But what if you want a little more smoke and heat? Try sprinkling some more flour on the cookies. Also suitable for sprinkling some sea salt. Sweet salt and fire go together very well.
