  • 3 cups pasta or pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded and packed cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 half cup
  • 1/2 cup Habanero cheddar or Habanero Jack cheese, shredded and packed
  • 1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup butter 1/2 stick of butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil over high heat.

  • In a mixing bowl, combine a tablespoon of melted butter and Panko breadcrumbs.

  • Place noodles in boiling water and cook (for the time indicated on the package). Drain the pasta and place it back in the pot.

  • Over medium heat, add 1/4 cup butter, melt butter.

  • Add cayenne, salt, black pepper and flour to butter, beat well.

  • Add the milk and half and half to the butter mixture. Turn the heat to medium-high and stir until the mixture is slightly bubbly. Reduce heat and continue stirring until the butter mixture thickens.

  • Remove the butter mixture from the stove. Then add Cheddar and Habanero Cheddar. Stir-fry frequently until cheese is completely melted.

  • Lightly grease the bottom and sides of the baking pan with butter (or oil).

  • Pour cheese mixture over cellentani. (or pasta) and pour into the baking pan. Garnish with Panko bread crumbs.

  • Bake mac and cheese for 20 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.
