All it takes is three ingredients. That’s the beauty of traditional homemade Louisiana hot sauce. Very simple: Chili, Vinegar and Salt. Hot, sour and salty, it’s a sauce that goes well with chicken wings, Cajun food, french fries, sandwiches and salads. Forget about it being used as a concoction for spicy cocktails like the fiery Bloody Mary.

This recipe is so easy to make and instantly delicious. but for best taste Let this sauce rest for a week or two in the refrigerator before using. That will give time for the flavors to fully blend. You can use red peppers around yourself, or cayenne pepper. Red jalapeno, Fresno or Tabasco peppers. Note – Think carefully about your heat tolerance. Homemade Louisiana hot sauce with jalapeño peppers (2,500 to 8,000 Scoville heat units, or SHU) will be a completely different experience than cayenne pepper or Tabasco peppers (30,000 to 8,000 SCOV). 50,000 SHU)
