  • Spread cucumber, bay leaf, garlic, Old Bay, crushed red pepper, and parsley seeds in four pint-sized jars.

  • In a saucepan over high heat Mix vinegar, water and salt together and bring to a boil quickly.

  • Remove the vinegar mixture from the heat and pour into the cucumber and spice jars, leaving a 1/2 inch gap at the top of each jar. Close the jar tightly with the lid.

  • Place the pitcher in a large pot and fill the pot with hot water. Cover the pint about two inches. Boil hot water and let the can soak in hot water for 10 minutes.

  • Remove the flask and allow it to cool until it reaches room temperature. Check for leaks in cap seal, then deflate.
