Big meat deserves the big side. And there are few pieces bigger than spicy fries. These iconic dishes contain loads of potatoes along with hot spices, cayenne, cayenne, and paprika. These are the same ingredients as any other spice rack that adds flavor to the table

Play with fire in this recipe too. You can choose paprika instead of cayenne for a more smoked alternative. (great for smoked baked goods) or pull the bell pepper back in and add cayenne pepper for a spicier taste.

The perfect spiciness for burgers and steaks.

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Then cover baking sheet with aluminum foil.

  • Combine canola oil, chili powder, onion powder, salt, garlic powder, paprika, sugar, and cayenne pepper in a large bowl. mix

  • Place the fries in a bowl and mix the pieces to coat them with the blended oil.

  • Spread the potato slices on a baking tray lined with foil. Then place the baking tray in the oven.

  • Bake the potato slices for 15 minutes, then turn the potatoes over. Bake for about 15 minutes or until edges are crisp to your liking.

  • Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the slices cool for 2 to 3 minutes. Service.

Want an alternative for smokers? Try chipotle powder for chili powder. Less heat but more smoke smell.
