- 1/2 cup light soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
make the sauce
In a mixing bowl, combine water, light soy sauce, and brown sugar together and stir well.
In a saucepan over medium heat Sauté ginger and garlic in 1 tablespoon vegetable oil until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add light soy sauce and brown sugar to the ginger and garlic. Stir well and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and let sauce simmer for about 15 minutes (or until thickened).
Cut the rib steak into thin slices (about 1/4 inch wide), then coat the rib eye steak with cornstarch. put it aside
Heat vegetable oil (1 cup) in a saucepan over medium heat.
when the oil is hot Drop the rib steak into the oil. (This can take two turns.) Grill steak for 1 minute, then flip. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes more, until steak is golden brown and slightly crispy.
Remove the rib steak from the oil and add the crushed red pepper to the sauce. Heat the dish over medium heat while stirring to coat the meat (about 1 minute).
