Sriracha Green Sauce

  • 1 1/2 pounds green peppers, finely chopped (use a mixture of jalapeno, serrano, Anaheim, or other green peppers*)
  • 6 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar will also work.
  • 1/3 cup water
  • Use a blender or food processor. Mix all ingredients until smooth.

  • Heat the sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until the sauce is bubbly. Reduce heat to medium to simmer.

  • Simmer the green Sriracha for 8 to 10 minutes for the sauce to thicken.

  • Turn off the heat and let the sauce cool to room temperature. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
